As you might imagine, there are many steps that we must take to gather again in worship. Our COVID-19/Reopening Task Force is working to make sure we are prepared for a reopening that follows the latest in CDC, Arkansas Department of Health and ARUMC guidelines.
As we build our plan, we want our membership to be aware of the following steps we will be taking to maintain the health and wellness of all who worship with us. We care deeply about protecting our members and guests to the best of our abilities. This is not a completely comprehensive list. Please be aware that some of these could change as we follow any additional guidelines set forth in the coming weeks.
There will be hand sanitizer stations at key access points throughout the church.
We will require social distancing in worship seating, entering and exiting the building, and in the restrooms. This includes no physical contact during worship (shaking hands, hugging, etc.).
There will be specific points of entry and exit for entry into the building and worship. We will be training greeters and ushers to aid in this process.
We will utilize new methods to distribute communion and collect tithes and offerings.
Masks will be worn at all times while inside the building by everyone over the age of 10. We will provide a mask for anyone who needs one.
In the early stages of reopening, we will be unable to have choir, Sunday School, or nursery care. As guidelines from the Arkansas Department of Health and the Annual Conference permit, we will add these activities back in time.
There will be an extended period of time between services to clean the facility.
With these changes in mind, we ask that you complete the survey below to help us gauge our church family’s readiness to return to worship. Thank you for taking the time to help us best serve you!
